It appears that a recent Honda update has affected immobilizer capabilities. My ability to program new keys when an "all keys lost" situation exists, has been removed. I know I used to be able to do this, but the option is not in the immobilizer menu any more.

I know Autel is going through some growing pains & I'm not here to rant and rave. I just had to pay someone to come in & program new keys in a Accord. I was confident that I had this ability... I was wrong. I'm very happy about this. (OK, I felt the need to rant for a moment).

Anyway, I'm looking for an alternative to replace the lost functionality of my MaxiSys. Specifically to program new keys when there are no working keys to clone. Any suggestions?  And, No, I do not have a backup of the older software. I found the DS708 backup, but I sold that scanner. Nothing for the MaxySys.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Had a 99 Honda Accord and  Maxisys' most useful  immo functions are still still missing (V3.20). The only option I found was to add a key or multiple keys, but you need to have an already registered key to procede. launch scanner will do those with no problem, including " all keys lost" Maxisys used to have those options.

X-431 Launch Pad or Matco Maximus which is basically the same thing, both run windows 7. The other Launch scanners should be able to do it as well. No PIN needed, you only need to input VIN number, and it calculates PIN itself.
